Biryani is the Indian oriented food which is mixed rice made with a combination of ingredients like meat, vegetables, egg, masala, ghee, oil, pepper, etc. It is mainly popular in Muslim culture. It is a heavy dish. Biryani has many varieties such as Chicken Biryani, Veg Biryani, Egg Biryani, etc. Today I will teach you to make Biryani by below Biryani Recipe:


1) Chicken Biryani Recipe


Ingredients

  • Basmati rice - 500 gm

  • Chicken piece - 500 gm

  • Onion - 3

  • Curd - 250 gm

  • Saffron - ½ tbsp

  • Dry fruits - 1 cup

  • Ghee - 2 tbsp

  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp

  • Salt to taste

  • Mint leaves - 2 tbsp

  • Cumin powder - ½ tsp

  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp

  • Red chili powder - 1 tsp

  • Turmeric powder - ½ tsp

  • Biryani masala - 2 tbs

  • Oil for cooking

  • Garam masala powder - ½ tsp

  • Food color (optional)

  • Bay leaves -  2

  • Chopped green chili - 2


Method

  1. Soak basmati rice in cold water.

  2. Fry the onion till golden brown and set aside.

  3. Fry fry fruits and keep them aside.

  4. Take a bowl and marinate the chicken with ginger garlic paste, curd, green chili, red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, biryani masala, turmeric powder, and salt.

  5. Cook the rice in a pot for some minutes till 75% cooked.

  6. In a wok cook the marinated meat by adding ghee and when the meat is well cooked put the rice over it and cover with silver foil. Cook for a few minutes in a small flame.

  7. When rice and meat are cooked properly mix them well, then sprinkle over the fried onion, fried dried fruits, and sprinkle the saffron.

  8. At last sprinkle with mint and ready to serve.


2) Veg Biryani Recipe


Ingredients 

  • Basmati rice - 3 cup

  • Chopped carrot - ½ 

  • Chopped potato - 1

  • Mutter - 1 cup

  • Chopped cauliflower - 1 cup

  • Finely chopped green chili - 1

  • Ginger - 1 small piece

  • Garlic - 4 petals

  • Capsicum - 1

  • Chopped beans - 1 cup

  • Salt according to taste

  • Red chili powder - 1 tsp

  • Coriander powder - ½ tsp

  • Garam masala - ½ tsp

  • Turmeric powder - ½ tsp

  • Dry garam masala 1 tbsp

  • Chopped onion - 1

  • Dry red chili - 2

  • Pudina and coriander leaves - 2 leaves

  • Cumin seeds 100 gm

  • Biryani masala - 2 tbs

  • Oil for cooking

  • Ghee - 2 tbsp

  • Bay leaves - 2


Method

  1. Soak basmati rice in cold water for half an hour.

  2. Make a tomato puree in a grinder by adding tomato and red chili for 1 to 2 min. While grinding don’t add water.

  3. Take a nonstick pan and heat it by adding 5 to 6 spoon oil, then add dry leaves and cumin seeds, onion. Cook onion until it becomes a light golden brown color.

  4. Then add ginger-garlic paste, green chili, and fry it for 2 minutes. Then add tomato puree, add some water, and add all vegetables after 2 -3 minutes. Mix it properly adding again half glass water.

  5. Add salt as required and cook it for 5 to 7 min on medium flame. After this add turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, biryani masala. Then mix all spices properly and cook for 5 to 7 min by adding some water on medium flame.

  6. Now take a bowl, heat it by adding ghee, and add dry leaves, cumin seed, 2 glass water, salt, turmeric powder. Then boil the rice for 7 to 8 min. Don’t over stir cooked rice.

Now take a big pot and mix both rice and recently made vegetables by making each layer over by adding coriander leaves.

  1. Now ready to swerve.



3) Egg Biryani Recipe 


Ingredients 

  • Basmati rice - 500 gm

  • Boiled eggs - 5

  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp

  • Garam  masala spices - 2 tbsp

  • Coriander powder - ½ tsp

  • Garam masala powder - ½ tsp

  • Biryani masala - ½ tsp

  • Turmeric powder - ½ tsp

  • Curd - 50 gm

  • Few cashews nuts

  • Fried onions - 1 cup

  • Pudina leaves - half cup

  • Oil - 2 tbsp

  • Salt to taste

  • Red Chili powder - 1 tsp

  • Coriander - 1 small bunch

  • Dry fruits - 1 cup

  • Ghee - 1 tbsp


Method

  1. Soak the rice in cold water. (preferably basmati rice)

  2. Fry the onion till golden brown and set aside.

  3. Fry dry fruits and keep aside.

  4. Cook the rice in a pot for some minutes till 75% cooked by adding salt, garam masala spices. After cooking, drain it.

  5. Heat the pan by adding oil, salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder and fry the boiled eggs unit until golden brown. Then take out on the plate.

  6. In the same pan add a little more oil, ginger garlic paste, curd, cashew nut, coriander powder, garam masala powder, biryani masala powder, coriander bunch, and mix well for some second.

  7. After this add fried eggs and mix properly. Then add the rice and fried onion, chopped coriander, make each layer over it and cover with silver foil. Cook for a few minutes in a small flame.

  8. Now ready to serve.
